China International Import Expo

Vanuatu will be participating in the upcoming China International Import Expo (CIIE) from 4-10 November 2018 in Shanghai. Vanuatu, among participating countries around the world, will take the opportunity to showcase its best and unique organic products to the world. There are seven Vanuatu businesses that will participate and these include Activ Association – Chocolate Aelan Makers, Vanuatu Bijouterie, Vanuatu Nature Ltd, Azure Pure Water, Fine Foods Ltd, Vanuatu Beverage Ltd and Caillard Kaddour.

Applications open for Young Pacific Leaders Conference 2019

The sixth Young Pacific Leaders Conference in Suva, Fiji will take place the first week of March 2019 through a partnership between Cultural Vistas and the U.S Department of State.

This comprehensive conference will provide emerging Pacific leaders, ages 25 – 35, with new skills and knowledge to advance the region’s economic vibrancy and civic engagement, thereby contributing to regional security and development. A diverse and highly selective group of 42 young men and women from across the independent Pacific states, Australia and New Zealand and the United States will be chosen to participate in the conference.

Global Employers’ Climate Action Forum 2018

The Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation (FCEF), as the current President of the Marrakech Business Action for Climate Network (MBA4C), hosted the Global Employers’ Climate Action Forum (GECAF) on 25th July 2018 at the Holiday Inn, Suva, Fiji. The overarching theme for the day-long event was “Resilient Businesses and Communities” and offered an avenue for stakeholders to synergise towards a common green future. Proceedings included four plenary sessions and one workshop-style breakout session for all participants.
